Our standard terms and cost of borrowing are set out in all contracts.

They include

1. Credit fees
2. Default fees
3. Annual rates of interest
4. Any other fees as specified in the Disclosure document

All the above elements of your loan are disclosed to you prior to signing any loan documents – this is known as initial disclosure.

From time to time we may adjust arrears to the end of your loan. This is normally done when you have missed a payment and have made a payment arrangement with us.

In each of our contracts, there is a provision for you to cancel. Such cancellation must be received in writing to sue@maxamise.co.nz

Your contract stipulates the notice period required. Our preferred communication source is by email. Notice periods start from the delivery date of your vehicle.

Cancellation will only be permitted if the vehicle is in the same condition that it was supplied in, i.e. if the vehicle has been damaged or there are mechanical issues which have been caused through your neglect your request to cancel can be declined.

Interest rates – our interest rate is detailed on each contract and will be between 15% and 27.9% (fixed).

Alterations to our interest rates will be published on this website from time to time.

Supporting documents:

Please remember to email admin@vsfltd.co.nz with your supporting documents.

The supporting documents required are:

1. If you can, please download our full application form and send us a completed copy – otherwise our lending officer will go through this with you during the application process.
2. Copy of your four latest payslips and/or copy of your FULL MSD WINZ breakdown
3. Proof of address, i.e. your phone bill or your power bill – If you are in a Kainga Ora (HNZ) home we prefer the front page of your tenancy agreement as proof of address
4. Latest 90 days of bank statements (we will provide a bank link)
5. Copy of your driver’s license – front & back and/or your passport (we must have photo ID)
6. Employment details (if applicable)
7. Full contact information for two referees – one of which must be a close family member. We will need mobile number, email address, home address and details of their relationship to you ie; parent, aunt, close friend etc

We try to make the process easy, but at the same time, we are mindful that your budget has to allow for the costs of running and maintaining the vehicle that we supply, not just the weekly loan repayment. All vehicles must be insured, we are able to arrange cover on your behalf in most instances.

Furthermore, we acknowledge that your circumstances may change from time to time so please keep us updated on changes that may affect your ability to service your loan with us.

If things are becoming difficult for you to make your payments we would rather that you contact us and make a payment arrangement than not – which may lead to repossession of your vehicle.

If you are struggling financially and need assistance, we would also encourage you to make contact with an independent financial mentor or budgeting advice service. Confidential advice is offered free of charge by many organisations including:
